Who is Prof. Dr. Ahmet Duran Şahin?

In this episode of Buluttan Sohbetler, we are with Prof. Dr. Ahmet Duran Şahin. Ahmet Duran Şahin completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Meteorological Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1994.

Holding a master’s and doctoral degree in Atmospheric Sciences, Ahmet Duran Şahin has been pursuing an academic career as a professor at Istanbul Technical University since 2012. He has made significant contributions to projects supported by Higher Education Institutions.

Among these, his participation in the kickoff meeting of the “New European Wind Atlas (Newa) Project” stands out. Additionally, he played roles in projects such as “Short-Term Forecasting-2” in 2005-2006 and “Short-Term Forecasting of Wind Turbine Power Outputs with Area/Time Modeling” in 2004. In 2015, he co-founded an R&D company engaged in research and development activities in renewable energy, climatology, hydrology, and meteorology.
